dA’s “Bring your vision to life” Contest

Posted by soaprick | Uncategorized | Wednesday 22 April 2009 1:58 am

dA has a contest. The theme is “The battle between good and evil”. Obviously when one think of that phrase, it always involves the usual devil and angel battle piece.

There are multiple things to depict this particular theme. The beginning of the battle, in the midst of battle, and the aftermath of the battle.

It’s intimidating to even think that I could produce something that looks extremely evil. I’ve tried but to no avail, I fail miserably at expressing “evil”. I also can’t express absolute beauty(which refers mostly to angels). I mainly study the flow of things in order for me to draw.

I’ve always wanted to do a piece where both evil and good have another side to their basic characters. Imagine this…

Another side to evil

Originally I wanted to include both sides in the picture but I’ve got a short span of patience. So…there…
